So I got a kick of nostalgia right in my guts the last few days…
Yeah, I know that I am home in Vrutky/Martin, the twin towns where I was born and was raised, but honestly for the last 7 years it was just a stop over - the place to go to get clean clothes, have some home cooked food and maybe spend holidays. In Banska Bystrica (BB) I have spent 5 years of my uni studies and it was my base for the countless conferences of AIESEC… but most of all its the town where I truly lived, loved, drunk, enjoyed myself, was doing sightseeing for I dont know how many foreigners, lived at 5 different places each in different part of town, took on the challenge of AIESEC leadership and realized I am more-less good in it, was enjoying the old buildings with their small details and the hills and nature right behind the houses…
So it should not be surprising that I experienced that a memory pops out on every second corner…
Like all the LCs I have visited this summer, BB is pretty deserted… at least when it comes to new (by my standards, i.e. less than 2 years in AIESEC) members, but I have met some pretty nice people from times before (Wandeetko, david, aisha, Kacena)…
I did a little walk around the old and new places of BB (quite a few times I realized that a place of my memories has been wiped and replaced with something new) and went for an open-air barbecue on Urpin - hill right above the center of BB. Its btw really nice, You can be drinking in a bar in the center of BB and in half an hour You can be sitting on the hill looking down at the lights of the town and enjoy a fire on the edge of the forest.
We did it 
We bought some sausages and a bottle of wine and beer from a shop, collected some wood and made fire, put the sausages on sticks and “cooked/fried” the meat above the fire. We also sang some random songs, played with fire in front of the camera and generally enjoyed ourselves and the moment… Those who know how it feels like know how it feels like, to those others I recommend to experience it
It was nostalgic, I didnt feel so much like “I am back” maybe since the first day and guys… You should seriously tidy up the AIESEC office (some things just dont change)
